Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

When we talk about giving, most people think of dollars. When we talk about tithing in a church setting, most of the time it is about money. However, I think it is just as important to give of our time and resources, not just the money we work so hard to earn.
Everytime you choose to give from a thankful heart, God will multiply what you give and not only bless you, but so many others. When tithing 10% or the first fruits of your labor is not possible, then pray and ask God what He wants you to give. He will always provide for your needs.
For many years, I had every reason in the book why I couldn’t tithe. I can’t afford it. If I give 10% of my income, than we won’t have money for groceries or basic necessities. I couldn’t figure out how in the world I could pay for my expenses and still have enough to survive on. I am not at 10% yet, but I am closer than I have ever been, because I realize that when I give from a place of honoring God and glorifying Him and His works, He will take what I give and use all of it.
God doesn’t want you to give just because it’s another item on a to do list, He wants us to give because we have cheerful hearts and we have much to be thankful for.
So my question to you today is are you living with a scarcity mindset, i.e., I don’t have enough to share or with a mindset that with God all things are possible. That what God has blessed me with is more than enough to live a generous lifestyle. It is a way of living not just a trendy way to go.
Jesus loves you right where you are. Pray to Him, ask Him to reveal to you what your next step is. He will never lead you in a wrong direction. Every mess in our lives becomes a message of hope to others. Every test we face is a testimony of how amazing our God is. Share His story and watch Him move in your life and the lives around you.
Until next time, may you be blessed beyond measure. #HopeAlwaysHaveFaith~Carlene
